Woman Economists Association of Turkiye (TUKAED) is an organization devoted to building a bridge between women, who are engaged in economics, living either in Turkey or abroad
Woman Economists Associationo of Turkiye was first conceived in July 2008, when three academicians met in Istanbul. The idea of uniting the Turkish women economists under a single roof was first put forward by Margaret (Macke) Raymond, Professor at Stanford University and Director of the Center for Research on Education Outcomes (CREDO). As a result of this meeting, A. Aylin Bayar and Bengi (Yanık) İlhan took the first step by banding the board members together. With the participation of the other board members - Nursel Aydıner Avşar, Nebile Korucu Gümüşoğlu and advisory board , we started our activities as TUKAED. With the contribution of others who are willing to support this organization, we will be working to promote collaboration between women engaged in economics. |
